Clarion Call
A dance costume inspired by The Elsewhen Series, originally created by Theo Clinkard and Leah Marojević. I drew inspiration from the absurdity of nature and its existence beyond the realm of social norms, and connecting that to themes found in Comte de Lautreamont‘s Les Chants de Maldoror and Comme des Garcons’ Body Meets Dress, Dress Meets Body collection. The hat is based on the falcon copulation hat (used to breed imprinted captive falcons to save them from extinction).
